I just bought the Musical Fidelity V-DAC from AA which is a tremendous unit and sounds unbelievable. That being said, the included wall wart is below average and needs to be replaced with a better quality power supply. Musical Fidelity offers a V- Series power supply for $300 which is way too expensive. Can anyone recommend or direct me to a high quality power supply at a reasonable price?

The specs on the MF V-DAC wall wart are:
i/p 120v AC 60Hz 2.4 – 45 watts
o/p 12v DC 500 ma

Any assistance would be appriecated.
Thank You
Joe

Pangea has just come out with an upgraded power supply for your unit. It gives it a quieter background and better dynamics. It's a STEAL at $99.99

Hi Joe, installed my Pangea power supply last night and all I can say is WOW! Majority of my upgrades are traditionally new separate components/speakers. This is upgrade is by far well worth the $99. Does to Pangea need burn in time, will the sound improve? Thanks for letting me know about this. Thank You Joe

I second the recommendation. Just hooked up my Pangea power supply to my V-DAC (v.1) and the difference is immediate and outstanding.

Im thinking of doing this with say a TEAC 25x as the transport but the alternative is buy your new NWO DAC to use with the 25x. In your opinion, which would give better results, or to put it another way, which is the better DAC - the DAC stage of the last iteration of the 3910 or your new DAC?

Thanks
