Cambridge Audio 650R

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about taking a leap forward in my HT and doing some upgrades from my current NAD system. I'm not experienced with the CA brand, but from my reading of previous product reviews and a look at the specs, the 650R seems to fit the bill. It will be paired with an Oppo BDP-83 and 50" Panasonic G10 plasma and used in a living room situation in a 5.1 setup (with potential to go to 7.1). The room isn't a huge space but it is well positioned, so the power doesn't need to require it's own nearby generating station, and the three HDMI inputs are also fine. It is important that any receiver perform well with standard stereo listening, too.

In this price range, I've also considered Integra and NAD. I'm also considering going to the used market for a pre/pro and power combo, but I don't think there's anything that's yet caught my attention. I'm not sure that separates do enough for me to warrant the effort.

Thoughts? Does anybody know anything about the CA 650R? It appears, from various forums, that it might be delayed, but I'm in no rush. I only hope it hits soon so I can read some hands-on reviews and eventually audition it at a local dealer.
